For those of you tired of leafing through dusty tomes in order to find out a little more about Dracula, this CD from Voyager is just the thing you've been looking for. It's jam-packed with all kinds of information; everyone from the complete neophyte to the experienced vampire hunter will find something of value here.

Dracula: Truth and Terror is authored by Dr. Raymond T. McNally, President of the International Dracula Society and professor of Russian and Eastern European History at Boston College. His research into vampire folklore has lasted thirty-five years. On this CD, McNally takes us on a voyage of discovery... a voyage to the outer darkness.

 

What You'll Find Inside

For those of you unfamiliar with the original Dracula story, McNally has provided the entire text of the novel by Bram Stoker, including Dracula's Guest, a chapter written by Stoker that was never included in the original novel. Throughout the text are annotated references and notes about the novel by McNally, serving to increase understanding of the complicated world of the vampire. Leaf through yellowed pages, and even leave your own bookmark between the pages for later reference.

Another area of interest is Film, where you can view the entire 1922 classic film Nosferatu, either on its own or with McNally's commentary serving as a tour guide. Brief clips from Billy the Kid vs. Dracula, among others, are also available with or without commentary as McNally outlines the presence of Dracula in film.

Trace through the lineage of the Dracula name in History, an area devoted to the background of Vlad Dracula and his Romanian history. Skip over to Legends and click on an ancient, weather-beaten map to read about vampire legends from around the world.
